25:16. അവൻ സംസാരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ രാജാവു അവനോടു: ഞങ്ങൾ നിന്നെ രാജാവിന്നു മന്ത്രിയാക്കി വെച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടോ? മതി; നീ വെറുതെ വെട്ടുകൊണ്ടു ചാകുന്നതു എന്തിന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അങ്ങനെ പ്രവാചകൻ മതിയാക്കി: നീ എന്റെ ആലോചന കേൾക്കാതെ ഇതു ചെയ്തതുകൊണ്ടു ദൈവം നിന്നെ നശിപ്പിപ്പാൻ നിശ്ചയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഞാൻ അറിയുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

25:16. While he was speaking, Amaziah said to him, "Did we appoint you to be a royal counselor? Stop prophesying or else you will be killed!" So the prophet stopped, but added, "I know that the LORD has decided to destroy you, because you have done this thing and refused to listen to my advice."

25:16. But the king interrupted him and said, "Since when have I made you the king's counselor? Be quiet now before I have you killed!" So the prophet stopped with this warning: "I know that God has determined to destroy you because you have done this and have refused to accept my counsel."

25:16. And it came to pass, as he talked with him, that the king said unto him, Have we made thee of the kings counsel? forbear; why shouldest thou be smitten? Then the prophet forbare, and said, I know that God hath determined to destroy thee, because thou hast done this, and hast not hearkened unto my counsel.

25:16. But as he was speaking, the king said to him, "Have we made you a royal counselor? Stop! Why should you be struck down?" So the prophet stopped, but said, "I know that God has determined to destroy you, because you have done this and have not listened to my counsel."

25:16. And it came to pass, as he talked with him, that [the king] said unto him, Art thou made of the king’s counsel? forbear; why shouldest thou be smitten? Then the prophet forbare, and said, I know that God hath determined to destroy thee, because thou hast done this, and hast not hearkened unto my counsel.

25:16. But as he was speaking the king said to him, "Have we made you a royal counselor? Stop! Why should you be put to death?" So the prophet stopped, but said, "I know that God has determined to destroy you, because you have done this and have not listened to my counsel."

25:16. And it came to pass, as he talked with him, that {cf15i the king} said unto him, Have we made thee of the king-s counsel? forbear; why shouldest thou be smitten? Then the prophet forbare, and said, I know that God hath determined to destroy thee, because thou hast done this, and hast not hearkened unto my counsel.

25:16. And it cometh to pass, in his speaking unto him, that he saith to him, `For a counsellor to the king have we appointed thee? cease for thee; why do they smite thee?` And the prophet ceaseth, and saith, `I have known that God hath counselled to destroy thee, because thou hast done this, and hast not hearkened to my counsel.`

25:16. When the prophet spoke, Amaziah said to the prophet, "We never made you an advisor to the king. Be quiet! If you don't be quiet, you will be killed." The prophet became quiet, but then said, "God has decided to destroy you because you did this and didn't listen to my advice."

25:16. It happened, as he talked with him, that the king said to him, Have we made you of the king\'s counsel? Stop! Why should you be struck down? Then the prophet stopped, and said, I know that God has determined to destroy you, because you have done this, and have not listened to my counsel.

25:16. And it came to pass, H1961 as he talked H1696 with H413 him , that [the] [king] said H559 unto him , Art thou made H5414 of the king's H4428 counsel H3289 ? forbear; H2308 why H4100 shouldest thou be smitten H5221 ?
